I would like to start a discussion as to what do you test for in your IQ’s

I’ll get the ball rolling and list some of my fundamental testing strategies

  • Prerequisite verification
  • Network minimum requirements
  • Harware installation qualification
  • Mechanical verification
  • Service verification
  • System maintenance
  • Documentation verification
  • Drawing checks
  • Software version verification
  • Database connection verification
  • Database Integrity

Graham , maybe a summary report dependent on what type of “systems” we’re talking about e.g. Information Systems IQ; Process Control Systems IQ; Equipment IQ etc etc? There will be subtle differences.
