Is there any regulatory requirement apart from ASME BPE for the welding in piping WFI loop/ PW loop/ equipment welding
Not many specific regs, but these could be
21 CFR § 211.65 Equipment construction.
Equipment shall be constructed so that surfaces that contact components, in-process materials, or drug products shall not be reactive…so as to alter the safety, identity, strength, quality, or purity of the drug product beyond …established requirements.

There should be no threaded fittings in a pharmaceutical water system.
All pipe joints must utilize sanitary fittings or be butt welded.

Pretty much everybody goes by the requirements in the BPE especially for WFi and purified water. Go by that all you’ll be fine.
