The authority for SOP reading

Dear all

i just face a situation, my company manage their documents by department (if this SOP is created by QC, then its belong QC).
and some of them is locked, you have to get authority for reading these SOP, does it necessary?
by the way, does anyone can tell the good document coding in GMP?

thanks a lot!

In some casses SOPs can be controlled . To have a control on that they will only issue only MASTER COPY which will be under control or Supervision or Lock and key of the head of department or an Authority.

You can look your SOP guidance document where they will mention those important things.

These are casses where they find it essential not to disclose such procedures to other persons in the company other than authorised persons.Secondly there might be a fear that such SOP’s might sneak out of the company in this electronic era.

These are shown during the regulatory audits by your superiors who have access to use such documents.

Regards

Hi, taking authorization everytime one wants to read a SOP of one’s own organization is cumbnersome. Instead try giving read only aceess to all personnel concerned with the operations - no editing, no printing options - RAGHU
