Do you know where could I find a swabbing technique applicable for a filling machine? I would need a detailed description on how to take samples from filling needles and tubes which are not plain surfaces.

as to my knowledge there are no swabbing techniques for filling needles, (as well as pumps, hoses, valves and other intricate components of a filling machine). If you attempt to develop a swabbing technique, you will find out that the recovery from this type of surface is not only quite low but very variable as well. This is one of those cases where rinse sampling is almost inevitable.

In case of needles , syringes and tubes in the filling machine it is not possible to take the swab. In these cases you need to take the rinse sample.
