Regarding temperature mapping

Dear all,
kindly suggest me that while temperature mapping in steam sterilizer, can we put the penetration provide by touching them with SS items for example-product manifold.

Distribution probes should be placed throughout the steam sterilizer.

Penetration probes should be placed inside articles within the steam sterilizer.

The location of the probes (distribution and penetration) should be selected and discussed why they are worst case.

You do not need to put a probed in the drain, as this is outside the system boundary, and can often have condensate, which will cause the cycle to fail (false positive). But the drain is extra worst-case, and any passing temperatures there really does show a passing cycle.

Try to avoid the probes physically contacting the sides of the sterilizer, or the sides of the components. Sometimes this is impossible (for tubing, etc.).

I’m not sure what a product manifold is.
