[b][COLOR="#000000"]The Committee invited New Zealand’s Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority (Medsafe) as well as Chinese Taipei / Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) to join the Scheme as from 1 January 2013. Medsafe will become PIC/S’ 42nd Participating Authority and TFDA its 43 rd Participating Authority.
Medsafe applied for membership back in April 2010. A documentation assessment was conducted in view of its accession to PIC/S, followed by an on-site visit on 7-17 February 2012. The Audit team recommended to the Committee to accept the membership application of Medsafe. [/color][/b]
