Is the riboflavin a good method for cleaning validation?

Dear All, I have a question relating with cleaning validation methods. Is the riboflavin a good method for cleaning validation?

Riboflavin coverage is used in an OQ (Operational Qualification) of a spray system. Assessment of the effectiveness of a cleaning procedure applies to the API, cleaning agents, bioburden…

Agreed with Boomer Chemist. Riboflavin is very standard just to show coverage of wetted parts, and for spray coverage testing, as part of OQ. After you have shown correct coverage (by cleaning the riboflavin and inspecting visually), then you can move into more robust sampling such as using actual product, swab sampling, rinse sampling, etc, done during PQ/PV.
