2.Why spark test conducted and how?
Dear Sridhars,
not every glass lined equipment is blue, there are gray, white, light blue and even speckled glass linings, e.g. de Dietrich has white and blue colours for the 3009 lining. The spark test is to detect pores and cracks in the lining (the spark seeks the way with the lowest isolation to go to the conductive substrate), because these are the points where the unprotected substrate begins to corrode.
