What is the amount of a time refrigerator/freezer door can be opened as part of a temperature recovery test industry wide? And what is the rationale behind the duration taken into account?

There is no requirement that I know of. 1 minute open door test is a common.

Different freezer have different temperature stability.
It’s very dependent on the ambient temperature as well. Heat enters the freezer when the door is open, making the temperature inside the freezer easily exceed the set limit.
It is best to perform temperature mapping with open door close door recovery test to determine the appropriate door open time.
