Equipment used for validation of cold room

Hello there!

I’m planning to use 16 points in a cold room for temperature recording for validation. Previously a 16 data loggers were used to validate the room. Could I use one central monitoring system with 16 probes for the validation process instead? Also, if I do use this system, can I use the same probes (that were used for validation) later on for temperature monitoring? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

  1. Central monitoring is better than individual probe monitoring
  2. The master probe used for temperature distribution should be qualified by National Authorized Laboratory against a primary standard.
  3. No need to use 16 probes for routine monitoring. As per the temperature distribution study report, identify the worst case locations (hottest and coolest) in the chamber. Monitor the temperature in these two points only. A secondary probe, which is qualified against master probe, can be used for routine monitoring.
