Destructive test for hydrophobic filter

Dear All

I want to know that in sterile filtration validation, when we are performing the destructive test on hydrophobic filter, then how will pass the suspended fluid of culture in hydrophobic filter because hydrophobic filter is not permeable for water while the suspended fluid of culture (culture suspension) is water based.

They do not carry the microbial retention test on Hydrophobic filters. You arre wrongly informed. They carry on hydrophilic membranes only.

On Hyderophobic membranes there is a test called Water intrusion test and also another test where they will challenge with Virus.
