We are having the analytical balance with 3 kgs capacity, our operating range is up to 01 Kg only. So we are calibrating the balance daily and uncertainty checking with monthly frequency up to operating range only. Is there any regulation to perform the calibrations up to balance range? If so, please advise…

Yes jyo,

There is regulation like NPL guide and OIML say about this and Eccentricity checking [Corner load test] is mandatory for balance calibration, to be performed with 1/3 of its capacity or 50% of its capacity ( refer guideline), frequency given by Balance Supplier.
