I would like to know the opinion for use of UV method instead of HPLC is suitable? (Before use of UV method I ensure its capabilities in terms of its detection and quantification limits; it’s fulfil my requirement) .
My suggestion is because of UV gives result approx 10 times faster then HPLC. Also UV responded to all the contaminants ie KSM, degraded material, other contaminants which are detected by HPLC
UV is OK as long as the method meets the requirements of ICH Q2. Just remember other molecules can absorb particularly if they are chemically similar to your molecule.
