Has anyone had experience of validating Bluetooth within a regulated
industry?
It is proposed that Bluetooth be used to transmit data from a
laboratory system within an access controlled GLP project area to an
external (outside of controlled area) PC/server using a Bluetooth
device.
Does Bluetooth offer adequate security when the available security
features have been applied, (e.g. enable the device only when needed,
keep device in hidden mode, use long PIN for device pairing etc)?
How reliable is data transfer and what are the risks to data integrity.
Any thoughts, experiences or advice would be gratefully received.
