What do you mean by cross phase activities?
According to your definition of cross phase activities, it’s not a “phase” - those activities occur across the entire life of the product.
What about the finger-pointing phase?
Personally, I wouldn’t split out the “Pre Installation” or the “Installation” phases you have listed. To me, you go from development to deployment. Part of development is ensuring it’s ready for deployment. I would consider the “Use” phase to be the “Maintenance / Improvement” phase. That helps tie in the cross phase activities (global processes).
