If a document is prepared in excel which requires password for openin or any changes,what should be ideally verified for validation of an this sheet ?
Is audit trail possible for excel?

If it is merely a document that you have generated using excel that does not involve any routine calculations and you will print and archive then validation controls will not be applicable for you
Audit Trail is possible in excel but with some limitations, but those limitations can be overcome by adding additional controls in usage of the excel sheet

The sheet is used only for updation and viewing the data.few columns and rows are protected for access.
No data is updated with any formula.
