i have to apologize; i acted and wrote on impulse due to frustration here at this end. what i meant to say is that some people do not really get to know a piece of equipment and when the time comes to perform the executions, they usually fail because it (IQ) was too simplistic or did not gather enough information about the machine or equipment.
i guess what is needed are real techs to assist engineers in this endeavor. Many newer engineers, that get into this field or rather are “brought” into the field, do not have the skills to go it alone.
i think this field should open the doors for Technicians with extensive technical background in Instrumentation/Electronics/Automation/Mechatronics/Electricity/Pneumatics/Mechanics/Hydraulics etc.
getting back to the main subject; …the forum should include a section on how to conduct an inspection of the equipment/machine/tool/machinery/jigs/fixtures etc. Validation is not just about compliance, writing, higher levels of science or some impenetrable magical mystical land. sensibly speaking, it’s about Man, Machine, Materials… and well you know! Let’s get off the scientific camel and start talking reality, this is a beatiful field of work, but Glorifying oneself with sophisticated Titles and terminolgy does not make a Good Validation Specialist!
believe me, i know what i’m saying; i am living this as i speak/write.
